4. Warther Museum (Dover, OH)
The Ernest Warther Museum & Gardens, located in Dover, Ohio, is dedicated to the life and work of Ernest “Mooney” Warther, a unique artist known for his intricate hand-sculpted carvings. Warther’s work primarily focuses on the evolution of the steam engine, which he meticulously crafted out of ebony, ivory, and walnut. His exceptional skill and dedication earned him the title of the World’s Master Carver.
The museum is built around the original location of Ernest and his wife’s home, his original workshop, and the first museum, which opened on May 10th, 1936, in their backyard. Today, the museum is owned and operated by family members.

5. Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail (Zoar, Bolivar, Navarre & beyond)
The Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail is a multi-use trail that follows part of the former route of the Ohio & Erie Canal in Northeast Ohio. The trail runs from north to south through Cuyahoga, Summit, Stark, and Tuscarawas counties, providing a unique opportunity to experience the region’s natural beauty and historical significance.
In Tuscarawas County, the trail passes the Fort Laurens State Memorial, Ohio’s only Revolutionary War-era fort, and continues to the German community of Zoar and the Canal Lands Park Trailhead. 10. Dundee Falls (Dundee, OH)
Dundee Falls is a beautiful natural attraction located within the 1,912-acre Beach City Wildlife Area in Ohio. The waterfall is nestled in a picturesque forest and cascades into a rocky gorge as the creek flows towards the South Fork of Sugar Creek. The waterfall is rather consistent for Ohio, meaning you can expect to see water flow for a significant portion of the year.
The trail to Dundee Falls begins at the parking lot off Dundee Wilmot Road NW. The trail on the right out of the parking lot will lead you to a vantage point of the falls. The trail is not too long and is considered easy to navigate.
