Useful & Interesting 

JET SKIS - Regarding service and parts for Kawasaki, Ski Doo, Polaris and Yamaha jet skis; we do not provide service or parts for these watercraft.  Presently we are referring people to Malvern Jet Ski Service @ 330-205-0543.  Note, we are not affiliated with Malvern Jet Ski Service thus we are not familiar with their business practices or policies. 

SAIL BOATS - Regarding service & parts for sail boats; please know that we do not inventory parts for sail boats nor do we repair these vessels.  We do provide winter storage, in & out service, cleaning, hull repair & painting and minor sail repairs.

ENGINE REPAIR - Regarding service & parts of Mercury/Mercruiser engines.  Our factory trained technicians service and repair only "older & smaller horsepower versions of Evinrude & Johnson" as well as Yamaha, Honda and Nissan engines.  If you have a need we can not assist you with, we will be happy to refer you to someone who can.

PONTOON BOAT TRAILER RENTAL - Yes for your convenience we have two trailers available, a single and a double axle.  Rental fee is $50.00 for two hours or less.  If you require the trailer for longer than two hours an additional $25.00 per hour will apply.  Suggestion - call in advance to reserve a trailer especially during the busy Spring & Fall seasons.

FYI - Per J.D. Powers & Associates, the percentage of female boat owners is growing.  As of July 2008, 13% of new Godfrey Sweetwater pontoon boats and 15% of new Bennington Sedona pontoon boats were purchased by females.  Small runabout boats accounted for the largest segment purchased by females which was 18%.  Congratulations Ladies!

FYI - Per BoatTraderOnline June 08, Florida led the nation in the number of online searches for powerboats and Sailboats in April.  A total of 6,342 sailboat searches originated from Florida compared to 2,096 for California.  In the powerboat catagory, Florida had 53,106 searches compared to California's 15,342.  The Lone Star State Texas ranked third in sailboats with 1,352.  Michigan finished fourth in each catagory and believe it or not Ohio finished sixth with 1,048 sailboat searches. 

Historical FYI - Per Boat & Motor June 08:
1. During the year 1978 there were 11,270,000 recreational boats in existence on all waters in the U.S.  The total is made up as follows: 1,140,000 inboard engines, 6,600,000 outboard engines, 880,000 sailboats and 2,650,000 rowboats. 
 
2. More than once or twice during 1978 there were 53,350,000 persons participating in recreational boating utilizing our Nation's waterways.

3. Estimated recreational boats owned since the early 1900s:
1913 - 400,000
1930 - 1.5 million
1947 - 2.440 million
1950 - 3.510 million
1961 - 7.175 million
1970 - 8.814 million
1978 - 11.270 million

4. During 1978 consumers spent an estimated $1,064,800,000 purchasing outboard boats & engines, $336,000,000 on sailboats, $43,400,000 on houseboats, $24,000,000 on canoes and last $141,400,000 on boat trailers. 

5. During 1978 on a scale of zero to forty feet, the average outboard boat length was 15.1ft.
