Women Making Waves returns in 2010 | Print |  E-mail

Women Making Waves returns, with the same instructors, the first two Saturdays in June. The cost is $10, which includes a FREE T-shirt. Availability is limited for this popular event, so register early. Don’t miss out on the fun!

Women Making Waves is a course developed to acquaint women with the sport of boating and designed to provide them with the education needed to get behind the wheel of a boat with confidence. One goal of Women Making Waves is for women to be able to plan time on the water, either with girlfriends or children, without being intimidated by the process of getting on and off of the water.

Atwood Lake Boats is pleased to host a Women Making Waves event on June 5 and June 12. Trisha Robinson and Eric Koren will be teaching this hands-on, active instruction course in a supportive and fun atmosphere. The program is only open to women.

As with most sports, boating also requires an education in order to master the basics. Women Making Waves provides several breakout sessions for women in which they can receive practical advice about water safety and learn how to dock and drive a boat. Each session begins with a focus on water safety.

Women may also go online to take the Ohio Boating Test through the Atwood Lake Boats website, For more information, contact us or call 330.364.4703.{jcomments on}
